Integrated quality management system
(Running time: 2009-2012)
The UAS of the BFI Vienna has always been increasingly concerned with different forms of quality assurance: quality management, management review, intellectual capital statement, process management and personnel development. As part of the project, these instruments were harmonised and integrated into a ‘whole’ in terms of content, methodology and technology, with reference to an existing international set of rules - the ENQA's ‘European Standards and Guidelines’. In addition, an efficient organisational structure for data management was largely created.
Success through quality - quality through success. Continuation of successfully implemented activities as a quality assurance feature of the University of Applied Sciences of the BFI Vienna (4 sub-projects)
Numerous projects were carried out at the BFI Vienna University of Applied Sciences between 2005 and 2009 as part of the City of Vienna's calls for proposals for universities of applied sciences. In the interests of quality enhancement and sustainability, the continuation of the following measures for part-time students was subsidised:
E-Learning: Running Time: 2009-2013
The ‘e-learning’ project was characterised by the methodically varied and innovative forms of teaching as well as the different didactic concepts for the students (business games, project seminars etc.), which were deliberately used to illustrate the teaching. This should have a particularly positive effect on the motivation of working students. With the further development of an e-learning platform, the range of innovative teaching methods was expanded to include further facets.
Support courses: Running Time: 2009-2013
Building on the success of the previous project, a large number of students from all FH degree programmes, who had different levels of prior knowledge of various course content, were offered additional courses organised in small groups and designed with gender-sensitive didactics in mind, as required, in order to increase their knowledge.
Summer courses: Running time: 2009-2013
The annual summer courses held at the FH BFI Vienna during the summer holidays, which are generally lecture-free, followed on seamlessly from the CESAP Summer School and thus represented a further focus of the successful FH activities, as can be seen from the high number of participants, especially part-time students.
Streaming Content: 2009-2011
As part of this forward-looking project, the tools developed primarily supported all part-time students who were nevertheless able to find the lessons optimally prepared (e.g. recording in image and sound) due to non-compliance with compulsory attendance.

(Running time: 2008-2013)
