Graduation ceremonies at the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna
Congratulations to all of our graduates! We’re delighted to invite you to the graduation ceremonies for our bachelor and master degree programmes.
In 2024, the graduation ceremonies will take place during the following periods:
8 May
16-27 September
18-22 November
Registration details and the exact dates of the ceremonies for each degree programme will be posted here in good time.
Graduation Ceremony dates in May 2024:
ATTENTION: due to low registration numbers, the 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. sessions have been combined and the 10 a.m. session has been canceled!
You can find a list of the final dates for the graduation ceremonies for each degree programmes here.
(Please note that these dates may change until the closing date depending on the number of graduates who register for each ceremony.)

After you have passed your final exams you can register for your graduation ceremony here.
Closing date for registration for the graduation ceremonies in May: 05 April 2024
Typical schedule for a graduation ceremony:
- Entry of the graduates
- Opening address
- Speeches
- Graduation pledge and conferral of academic degrees
- Presentation of certificates
- Expression of thanks by the students
- Closing address
Musical accompaniment: Vienna Strings (string quartet)
You and your guests are invited to a reception after the ceremony.
Organisation:
- You must register if you would like to take part in the graduation ceremony.
- Each graduate can bring up to 5 guests to the ceremony (in addition, children are also welcome).
- After the closing date for registration, we will contact you in good time before the ceremony and send all the information you need to the e-mail address you provided when you registered.
- Graduates will meet in room E08 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Participation in the instruction is required for a participation in the graduation!
- All rooms are wheelchair accessible.
- Please dress appropriately for the occasion.
Graduation ceremony photos
A professional photographer will be present at each ceremony. You will be able to buy photos after the ceremony (please note that the photos will only be finalised after you order them).
