After the completion of the course Business English 1, the students will be able to use the basic English grammar both orally and in writing to communicate in a variety of business situations in English.

  • the students understand and are competent to use
  • the English tenses (actively and passively);
  • auxiliary, full and modal verbs;
  • multi-word verbs
  • gerund and infinitive constructions;
  • countable and uncountable nouns;
  • adjectives and adverbs;
  • adverbs of degree
  • statements, questions and negations;
  • if non-native, they have acquired an easy-to-understand international English accent.
  • students can differentiate between British and American English in spelling, pronunciation and
travel vocabulary.
  • students can describe trends, graphs, charts, and tables using appropriate structures also for figures and currencies.
  • students can write formal and informal business letters/emails
