Here you will find all the current dates for our learning services. Our courses are offered both at our locations and online to offer you the greatest possible flexibility. Please note that places are limited to ensure an optimal learning experience. We therefore recommend that you register early to secure your place. Registration is easy via our form.
We currently offer the following learning services:
Introduction to Making Use of the Library
This course is for students who are looking for a basic introduction to the library and its many services. Whether you are new to the university or just want to refresh your knowledge of the library. These courses will help you become familiar with the resources, services and opportunities our library offers.

You can find the German instructions for using the library in Moodle (duration 30 minutes).
Introduction to Literature Searching
The ability to find relevant and high-quality sources is the cornerstone of any sound scientific work. This workshop will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to conduct a systematic literature search. We will talk about wildcard symbols, distance searches and the use of Boolean operators. These techniques will allow you to refine your searches and get exactly the information you need.

Time to Write
During the "Time to Write" events, we would like to offer our students the space to work intensively on their own text project. Whether it's a seminar paper, Bachelor's or Master's thesis, writing is easier and more productive for many in a group. We will introduce methods that help you get into the flow of writing quickly and set realistic goals. There is also the opportunity to exchange ideas with other students about their own writing project.
The writing time is accompanied by a writing coach who supports with questions and problems in the writing process.

Learning Methods: With Fun to Success through Effective Learning
In this workshop you will learn how to better use both sides of the brain and find the learning technique that suits you best. Knowing about the different types of memory will make learning easier. You will get valuable tips on time management so that you can use your time more efficiently. We will work out together whether multitasking makes sense. From now on you can forget forgetfulness! To help you concentrate better, you will be introduced to various memory exercises and "first aid" short relaxation exercises.
