  • Linking economic and political science perspectives on dealing with multiple crises (financial and economic crises caused by endogenous and exogenous shocks, environmental crises, democratic crises, international migration).
  • Effects of the crisis of social reproduction as central points of reference and examples of application
  • Effects on different states of the EU and consequences of implemented economic policy measures and forms of governance

Learning outcome

After successful completion of the module, students can:

  • explain environmental, social, economic and political crises as well as other global challenges and risks and their possible interrelationships and interactions,
  • differentiate the multiple crises in the EU in their interactions, analyse and evaluate them with the help of quantitative methods,
  • identify global supply chains, recognise the changes in the global habitat, explain the relationship between unpaid labour and paid labour and analyse their respective impacts on the EU.
