Two worlds that belong together

Project management and IT are among the most sought-after skills on the job market. This bachelor's degree programme combines both areas and teaches a practical skill set that opens up a wide range of career paths in various industries.

Project management at the heart of it all

From the initial idea to implementation: Students learn to plan and manage projects in a structured, efficient, and practical manner. Project management is a common thread throughout the entire programme. This promotes skills that enable students to present results convincingly and implement projects confidently in various teams.

IT knowledge for practical application

Step by step, students are introduced to topics such as software development, data analytics, and technological processes and develop a sound understanding of how they interact in a business context. This enables them to become sought-after interfaces between management and IT. They understand both perspectives and can advance projects in a targeted manner.

Career opportunities without borders

A semester abroad opens up opportunities to gain international experience and set individual priorities. In addition, recognized project management certificates (IPMA, PMI, scrum.org) and connections to international networks significantly increase career opportunities.

Graduates are flexible on the job market, well connected, and excellently qualified for positions of responsibility in project and product management, IT interface functions, or in international teams.

As a graduate you will be able to:

  • Assume responsibility for team leadership and coordination in small to medium-sized national and international (IT) projects
  • Take on core project management functions within the framework of plan-based, hybrid and agile projects
  • take charge of resource and financial management in projects and apply risk management methods
  • Planning and executing small to medium-sized IT projects, developing IT strategies and IT products, and analysing and implementing technological solutions
  • Develop and implement software solutions and test strategies that meet requirements
  • Design and optimise data and database models and use AI applications in a targeted manner
  • Making decisions that take into account business, financial, legal, social and environmental implications
  • Collaborate in the analysis, modelling, improvement and control of process and quality management and support creative processes.
  • Systematically analyse and solve problems and actions and communicate them in technical English.

quote illustration

My decision to study Project Management and IT was largely due to a personal interest in the topics. The combination of these two - now ubiquitous - topics seemed particularly attractive to me with a view to my future career. In view of the ongoing digitalisation of the economy and society, this course of studies also represents an excellent investment in my own skills from my point of view.
