Project period: 08/2021 - 07/2026

Endowed professorship: Prof. (FH) Priv.-Doz. Dr. Harun Pacic

Project status: running

Abstract

This endowed professorship is intended to establish "Applied Employment Law" as a new subject area in the existing BA course "Work Design and HR Management" and the MA course "Digital HR Management and Applied Employment Law". The background to this is the digitalization associated with the world of work 4.0, which requires not only a changed economic approach, but also a socially responsible application of the law in order to conduct HR management at regional, national and European level in a strategy-led and sustainable manner and to set forward-looking impulses on and for the labor market.

The endowed professorship will also make a contribution to the City of Vienna's Smart City Framework Strategy by collecting, systematizing, evaluating, didactically preparing and directly communicating research findings on employment law in the context of Austrian and European social and commercial law in order to make operational conditions legally compliant with the help of legal information and work technology and the use of legal informatics. At the same time, it aims to improve the framework conditions for equal treatment and equal opportunities in the labor market in the digital age.
