Learning outcome

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to

  • describe selected methods of process management and process improvement and illustrate their structure and context,
  • describe current trends in process management and illustrate their effects,
  • explain and distinguish the concepts of process reference, process maturity and process capability models,
  • develop a process landscape in keeping with the corporate strategy (in simple business contexts),
  • model and document processes using a standard notation,
  • analyze and improve existing processes and work out key indicators for process measurement, and
  • relate "process management" to the concepts "process-oriented quality management" and "integrated management systems".
