Logistics in Film, TV and Media Production

The course offers in-depth study of logistic issues that result specifically from international cooperations, and it discusses problems and approaches to solutions from the viewpoint of majority and minority coproductions by means of a variety of case studies. It also offers approaches to the optimization of logistical schemes.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Applied methods including macro and micro levels of teaching. Macro methods are case studies, analyses and games. Micro methods are keynote lectures and examples. Students work in the plenum. Academic success depends on the presence of the students in the lectures.

Assessment methods and criteria

Final written exam (100 points in total).

Learning outcome

After the successful completion of this course the students will possess detailed knowledge of logistical correlations and issues, which arise from the requirements of coproductions in the film and TV industries. They will have a comprehensive understanding of process structures from location scouting to international teambuilding and handling concrete coproductions.
