Can I apply if my native language is not German?

  • Yes. However, for admission to one of the German-language programmes, you must have a very good command of the German language (level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, CEFR). An assessment will be made in the admission test, and you may be required to take a German supplementary exam.
  • No knowledge of German is required for admission to the English-language bachelor programmes "European Economy and Business Management" and "Banking & Finance".

How well do I have to know English?

  • More and more courses are held in English. Therefore, a good command of English is necessary from the beginning in all study programmes to be able to follow the lectures. Extensive knowledge of English grammar is required.
  • For admission to the English-language bachelor programmes "European Economy and Business Management" and "Banking & Finance" you must have a very good command of the English language (CEFR level C1).
  • Your English language skills will be assessed in the admission test, and you may be required to take a supplementary English exam.
