Annual Student Conference (HUMINT)

Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace

In addition to a conventional semester abroad, students have the chance to collaborate with students from various countries and gain international experience in these international weeks. Multinational working groups examine a particular question and then present their findings.

The Student Conference on "Diversity Management" is organised by the network partners HUMINT (Human Resources International). HUMINT was created in March 2010 with the aim to facilitate European teaching and learning experience for university staff and students. It takes place annually in November and is hosted by another partner university every year.

The HUMINT Network 2023 Student Conference kicks off with a mandatory virtual session and continues in attendance Nov. 20-24 at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. The in-person program starts Monday evening and ends Friday around noon.

The topic is "Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace" with the following subtopics: Age, Gender, Sexual Orientation, Disability, Religion, Ethnicity. Students work in an internationally composed working group on a case study related to one of these topics. A poster presentation of the results will conclude the student conference.

Each participating institution also sends a lecturer to supervise a case study.
