Learning outcome
After successful completion of the module, students can:
- recognise differences between the social models of the member states of the European Union and explain their historical development,
- classify the social policies of the EU member states in typologies of social models,
- compare current competences and development perspectives of common EU social policy, taking into account economic, political and legal framework conditions,
- analyse the significance of distribution policy in macroeconomic models,
- assess the effects of inequality on macroeconomic development and evaluate the possibilities of distribution policy instruments for national and supranational macroeconomic stabilisation,
- draw economic policy conclusions from the findings for the social and fiscal policy framework conditions at the level of the member states and the EU and formulate recommendations in this regard
