Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Blended learning (on-site & online, guest lectures), application of tools for virtual and hybrid collaboration in group work, group discussions and reflection, individual reflection assignments

Assessment methods and criteria

Application of selected virtual and hybrid collaboration tools to work on a question (e.g. on the use of agile tools) within the framework of a group work & presentation of the results (70 %); written individual reflection on the possible integration of the findings into one's own everyday study and professional life (30 %).
Assessment criteria: degree of complexity of the application of selected agile tools, content and formal design of the group presentation (group assessment), independence and reflectiveness in relation to the application possibilities within the framework of the individual reflection work (individual assessment).

Learning outcome

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to

  • name and apply essential agile tools and methods for use in practice,
  • select agile tools and methods according to the individual needs of a situation and justify this selection,
  • use agile tools and methods effectively and present results,
  • assess the effects and consequences of the use of certain tools and methods for affected groups and to derive possible measures for action that enable ethical, socially acceptable and gender/diversity sensitive use,
  • evaluate the use of agile tools and thus reorganise them for possible future use and
  • assess the benefits and possible uses of key agile tools in everyday work.
