- Exam method: continuous assessment (30%, group work, assignments, presentation), final exam (70%, written closed-book examination).
- Assessment criteria: relevant central aspects, comprehensible and coherent argumentation, well-structured presentation, relevant technical terminology, relevant references to course material and required literature

After successful completion of the course, students can
- explain the technical basics or assessment objects of environmental and sustainability management in the field of transport and logistics
- explain the essential concepts and international strategies of environmental and sustainability management with the dimensions economy, ecology and social and apply them to activities in the field of sustainable logistics
- explain the distinction between normative and positive statements
- apply methods and instruments of emission reduction in road, rail, sea, and air transport
- classify the current socio-political status of discussions as well as current best practice examples
- critically analyse ESG, CSR and sustainability reports
- develop outline environmental and sustainability strategies and examine them in the context of the UN Sustainability Goals
- explain and apply the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative
