Assessment methods and criteria

  • Written final exam (70%, open questions)
  • Content criteria: degree of problem identification and problem characterisation, complexity of solutions in terms of subject and methodological competence
  • Formal criteria: completeness of answers, terminological differentiation, and independent presentation of results.
  • Continuous assessment (30%): individual and group work plus presentations and regular quizzes, active contribution in class

Learning outcome

After successful completion of the course, students can

  • explain the embedding of the processes of logistical fulfilment and their individual processes, e. g. goods receipt, storage/retrieval, picking, packaging, shipping
  • name and explain them in the context of the entire e-commerce process (from marketing to invoice control and customer care) (1,2)
  • name (1) and explain (2) important terms and concepts of electronic commerce and related logistical concepts and then analyse practical e-commerce and fulfilment applications (4)
