Learning outcome

After successful completion of the course, students can

  • explain the interaction of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow (2),
  • read and interpret financial statement information (4),
  • explain the importance of strategic goals (2), derive them on the basis of strategic analyses (4) and align the structures, processes and tasks of operational management with them (5),
  • identify levers for improving the operational performance of a company (4) and derive appropriate measures (5),
  • analyse the effects of the financing structure of companies on profitability and risk management (4),
  • anticipate the effects of strategic decisions on business performance indicators and thus be able to make targeted business decisions (5).
