Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Online simulation: • management of a company over 12 quarters • development of a strategy • entrepreneurial functions of sales, production and finance • fictitious supervisory board meeting • analysis of the key figures of the company • benchmarking and interpretation
Assessment methods and criteria
- 40% continuous assessment (completion of the simulation)
- 60% final exam (supervisory board presentation - company report, final benchmark)
- Assessment criteria: completeness, level of detail and complexity of the answers, correctness of the solutions and results, compliance with formal criteria.

Learning outcome
After successful completion of this course, students can:
- understand corporate law and business management contexts,
- recognize the interactions between strategy, planning and implementation in the management of a company,
- filter out the necessary information for decisions from extensive data material on company key figures and interpret these,
- develop their own strategies, map and implement these strategies in medium-term planning,
- have an overview of the reporting and control obligations of the supervisory board and management board of a public limited company under company law.
