After successful completion of the course students can • name the characteristics of air transport and distinguish it from other modes of transport (1) and explain them from a transport economics point of view (2) • describe the air transport market and its actors and mechanisms (1) and assess future developments (2) • describe the creation of air transport services (1), classify the different forms (2) and identify their challenges (4) • explain the legal basis and the importance of the air waybill (2) • describe and classify different functions of airports (1) and explain them (2) • name basic airport types (1) and compare them (2) • distinguish between aviation and non-aviation airport management (2) and assess their importance (2) • explain current and future challenges in aviation (2) and forecast their possible effects (2)
