Information for prospective part-time lecturers

The University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna, University for Economics, Management and Finance, trains the experts and managers of tomorrow. Through our research, as well as our strong interdisciplinary and international focus, we provide the impetus that helps companies and society face up to challenges with innovative solutions.

We offer part-time lecturing opportunities for

  • experts from businesses and other organisations
  • experts working at higher education institutions

who enjoy teaching with a focus on learning outcomes and would like to lecture at the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna for up to six teaching hours per week in addition to their full-time job.

General requirements for part-time teaching staff

Information about specific requirements regarding education, experience and soft skills will be provided by the respective degree programme staff/research unit.


  • Degree in a relevant subject
  • High level of German or English, depending on the respective language of instruction


  • Professional experience in one of the degree programme’s target occupational fields
  • or subject-related academic experience in areas connected with the target occupational fields
  • Teaching experience
  • Experience in teaching in the respective language of instruction is an advantage
