Pia-Zoe Hahne

Pia-Zoe Hahne is a researcher in digital humanism at the UAS BFI Vienna and a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Vienna. She is also a member of the editorial board of the academic journal Digital Culture & Education.

She researches and teaches on the topics of digital humanism, philosophy of technology, and AI ethics, with a particular focus on the relationship between work and digitalization, the transformation of the world of work in relation to AI and the associated invisibility of work, as well as trust in AI systems and the resulting social consequences.

Prior to her position as a researcher, Pia-Zoe Hahne completed an interdisciplinary BA in Arts & Culture and a research MSc in Cultures of Arts, Science and Technology at Maastricht University (Netherlands). She graduated with honors from both programmes. She then worked as a junior researcher at TU Delft on the topics of “future-proofing” and resident participation in digital urban planning.
