Outside-the-box

Climate-neutral urban mobility can only be guaranteed if the mobility of people and goods is closely interlinked. For personal mobility, resilient transport systems, in particular measures for better use of shared mobility, must be promoted in order to enable an increase in ecologically compatible chains of routes in the sense of climate neutrality. For the mobility of goods, which is characterized by the increase in online purchases and parcel delivery, last mile solutions must be promoted across the board.

The aim of the project is to evaluate measures to intensify shared mobility at public transport hubs of Wiener Lokalbahnen and mobility stations of Wiener Linien. In particular, the positive effect of white label parcel boxes on minimizing journeys, optimizing journey chains and increasing the attractiveness of sharing offers is assessed.
