Assessment methods and criteria

Final written exam 70% (open book) Case studies, group assignments, short tests about recent learning contents (30%) Criteria: Fulfillment of task-specific requirements concerning structure and scope of students’ solution, comprehensibility and confirmability of students argumentation, level of detail, detailedness of problem analysis und problem description.

After successfully finishing this course, students are able -to name and explain major concepts and constituents of distribution. -to name and explain key factors and influences on the design of a distribution network -to name and explain strengths and weaknesses of alternative design options -to describe and explain the influence of E-Commerce on distribution networks -to name and explain different organizational alternatives of distribution execution -to name and explain different types of E-Commerce sale and distribution forms -to name and explain the influence of distribution network configuration on -distribution performance -cost -to describe and explain the interdependence between competitive strategy, supply chain strategy and distribution strategy -to analyze distribution requirements and develop and design appropriate network structure.
