After successful completion of the course students are able • to understand and competently use the grammatical structures in “teaching content” • to use formal and informal presentations styles for business talks • to give a professional company presentation • to write formal and informal business letters and emails • to apply for a job by writing CVs and cover letters • to participate in and conduct job interviews • to write short business reports • to design an advertising campaign • to talk professionally about free trade • to describe trends, graphs, charts, and tables using appropriate structures also for figures and currencies • to make travel, meeting, conference, hotel, or similar arrangements • to inquire about a product or service • to respond to an inquiry • to complain about a product or service • to respond to a complaint • to read and understand authentic business-related texts or watch business-related news coverage and summarize them in their own words • to make telephone arrangements or obtain and give information on the phone • to socialize / do small talk / network • to listen actively • to ask and answer difficult questions
