• Final written exam (100%, no aids). • Content criteria: degree of problem identification and problem characterization, complexity of solutions in terms of technical and methodological competence • Formal criteria: completeness of answers, linguistic differentiation, and independence of results presentation

Upon successful completion of the course, students can • describe the basics of inland navigation (1) • name characteristics of inland navigation and distinguish them from other modes of transport (1) as well as explain them from a transport economic point of view (2) • describe (1) and explain (2) the basics of nautical science • describe the organization of inland navigation (1) and compare it with other modes of transport (2) • describe major trends and innovations in inland navigation (1) and forecast possible impacts (2) • explain legal basics and specific instruments of inland navigation (2) and apply them to examples (3)
