Information on the processing of personal data in accordance with the GDPR

The hybrid info session will be held by the UAS BFI Vienna at the location Wohlmutstrasse and online via zoom.us or Microsoft Teams.

1. Data controller

The UAS BFI Vienna, Wohlmutstrasse 22, 1020 Vienna, datenschutz@fh-vie.ac.at, processes as a controller the personal data which you provided in the course of your registration for the hybrid info session or which are collected from you during registration.

2. Purpose of data processing

Processing the data which you provide or which the UAS BFI Vienna collects from you takes place for the purpose of registration for as well as for the performance of the hybrid info session at the UAS.

Those sections of the hybrid info session in which a presentation is given by the staff of the UAS BFI Vienna can be recorded and published on the UAS BFI Vienna website as well as on the social media platforms of the UAS. If participants ask a question via the chat function or the microphone (audio connection), this can be seen/heard by all participants and later on by all people watching the recording. If participants do not want their personal comments or questions to be published, they have the possibility to ask them in the section of the hybrid info session that is not recorded. Participants of the hybrid info sessions can see whether recording is taking place or not.

3. Legal basis of data processing

The legal basis are largely the legitimate interests of the UAS (Art. 6/1/f GDPR), which can be seen in the fulfillment of the educational mandate, and the attainment of the study qualification by using modern media.

4. Data recipients

Your personal data provided by yourself when registering will be processed and stored by employees of the UAS BFI Vienna and disclosed to Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (data transfer to third countries: USA: zoom.us/privacy) or Microsoft USA („Teams“; data transfer to third countries: USA: privacy.microsoft.com).

Some parts of the event will be recorded and published on the Internet, including the participants’ contributions (photos, audios, chat contributions), see Section 2.

5. Retention period

The UAS BFI Vienna will process the data you provided or which have been collected from you only as long as they fulfil the purposes stated in item 2 and as required by applicable law. Those parts of the hybrid info session recorded by the UAS BFI Vienna may be published on the UAS BFI Vienna website and its social media platforms.

Course participants are not allowed to store the hybrid infosession.

6. Reference to photo/video recordings with granting of rights under copyright law

During the event, pictures will be taken for public relations purposes of the UAS BFI Vienna. With your participation in the event, you grant the FH the right to publish recordings of the event on the website, in social media channels of the FH (esp. Facebook, Instagram), in press releases as well as in online and print media without separate remuneration and waive your right to your own image.

If you do not wish to do so, please let us know when registering for the event or on site.

7. Your rights as a person concerned

You have the right of rectification, right of access, erasure, restriction of processing, the right to object and the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, under the conditions specified in the corresponding provisions.
