Assessment methods and criteria
Written final exam (100 %, closed book, no aids). Content criteria: Degree of problem identification and problem characterisation, complexity of solutions in terms of technical and methodological competence. Formal criteria: Comprehensiveness of answers, correct use of technical terms, and independent presentation of results.

Learning outcome
After successful completion of the course, students can • give a profound overview of essential concepts of passenger and freight transport and name (1) as well as classify and describe them in terms of business and macroeconomics (1) and explain them contextually (2), • connect economic concepts with planning, technical, ecological and social strategies as well as with transport policy strategies in general (2), • explain the aims and procedures of applying analytical methods to transport and traffic issues (2), • describe (1) and explain (2) transport concepts and service provision systems in road freight transport, • identify content-related aspects and formal, i. e. logical, structures (1) and apply these to case studies in a meaningful way (3), • identify (1) and transfer (3) special features and logical structures of transport concepts to case studies.
