Entrepreneurship and founder personality, the economic importance of entrepreneurship, Austrian business start-up activities, business model and competitive advantage, intellectual property rights, tax, commercial and social security law issues related to starting a business, types of corporation, location factors and site selection, SWOT analysis, marketing mix, raising capital (mezzanine capital, private equity, venture capital, business angels, Basel II and rating, etc.), start-up support (federal business funding institutions, funding agencies of the provinces, export subsidies, etc.), managing company creation risks, budgeting (projected balance sheet, budget income statement and budget), preparing a business plan.

Language of instruction
The students will acquire knowledge of steps to be completed in founding a corporation including available funding and subsidies, and therefore be in the position to create high-quality business plans by themselves and should also be able to thoroughly analyse any business plans presented to them.
