After successful completion of the course, students can:

  • develop an argument well enough to be understood without difficulty most of the time.
  • give a simple, direct, prepared talk on a familiar topic in his/her field which is clear enough to follow without difficulty for most of the time and in which important points are explained with sufficient accuracy.
  • interpret and analyse the culture of the respective country/countries in order to successfully apply cultural codes in business situations.
  • use logical connectors for a speech and tell a story in the past tense
  • express themselves on simple economic, political, social topics and write formal letters and emails (approx. 220 words)
  • explain working conditions in France and internationally and describe the working environment (timetable, colleagues, function, activity, bullying, conflicts).
