The graduates can:

  • identify and analyse the operations carried out by banks and insurance companies
  • apply ideas and methods in the fields of banking customers, risk management, mathematics, and corporate finance
  • distinguish and assess insurance products
  • apply insurance controlling methods
  • analyse and answer questions of finance (e.g. portfolio selection, fixed income, option contracts) and corporate finance (corporate finance and assessment)
  • perform in an international work environment due to intercultural management skills combined with work-related English

The programme in brief:

Academic degree: Bachelor of Arts in Business, BA
Admission procedure: interview, MC test (banking, finance, insurance, English)
Admission requirements: school-leaving exams (Austrian and foreign equivalent), completed secondary vocational school, or apprenticeship (additional exams in English and mathematics required)
Course information (ECTS): 180 ECTS
Deadline for applications: 15 May part-time, 31 May full-time, Online Application
Deadline for applicants outside European Union: 15 March (due to Visa restrictions)
Duration of studies: 6 semesters
Exchange semester: available in 3rd and 4th semester
Medium of instruction: German
Number of study places per year: 40 each for full-time and part-time
Study periods: three evenings a week and Saturdays (part-time), five days a week (full-time)
Tuition fees: € 363.36 per semester (+ € 19.20 Austrian Students Union fee)
Work placement: 6th semester
