After having attended the class, the students have widened or deepened their knowledge of German; they have learned new vocabulary and developed their skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking). Besides, they have a deep insight into the Austrian regional and cultural studies.
After A.1.1 the student should be able to greet, to ask and understand simple questions, to talk about him/herself, about what he/she does in his/her spare time and professionally, to talk about his/her family, to make appointments, to say and understand numbers and time, to understand, when people talk about their daily routine or about what they did the day before.
Nach erfolgreicher Absolvierung sind die Studierenden in der Lage sich selbständig in ein Themengebiet des gewählten Bereiches einzuarbeiten und darauf aufbauend eine passende Forschungsfrage zu formulieren. Sie können passende (wissenschaftliche) Literatur finden, verstehe, analysieren und evaluieren. Sie sind in der Lage, Texte eigenständig zu formulieren und zu strukturieren sowie darauf aufbauend eigenständig eine wissenschaftlichen Kriterien genügende Arbeit zu verfassen.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to use their Chinese language skills to have basic conversations about everyday life and business occasion. After the ten sessions, participants will understand China’s economy and culture by discussing current trends that influence China as well as the world. They will learn how to use effective cross- culture communication skills. This will enable them to be more effective in dealing with Chinese companies in their future careers. In addition, they can further improve their Chinese language skills themselves by using the methodology taught in this course.
Outgoing students are able to reflect on the topics of the GCC as well as their intercultural competences acquired during their study abroad experience. Incoming students are introduced to the topics of intercultural learning and are able to enhance their study abroad experience with tips they received from outgoing students.
