On successful completion of the class, students will be able to:
Describe and explain the concepts of global integration and local responsiveness in international business and critically reflect the resulting tension and its implication for international HRM
Contrast universalistic and contextual paradigms in international HRM and identify relevant institutional factors for different international HRM practices
Critically evaluate different approaches to global staffing and their relevance for knowledge flows within an MNC
Apply a framework for strategic international HRM and develop an international HRM strategy based on the most relevant factors
Describe the key concepts of culture, intercultural competence and intercultural management
Critically reflect the impact of culture in intercultural management settings
Recognise and find solutions to critical incidents in intercultural management
