Introduction, definition and terminology of project (management), project success, project management - processes and methods, project creation and project commissioning, project organisation, project launch (application of methods for analysis of goals, milestones, resources; costs planning, stakeholder analysis, etc.), teamwork in projects, project coordination, project controlling, project marketing, project documentation, project risks and project discontinuity, quality management in projects, project closure, introduction to a project-oriented enterprise, agile approaches. Application of project management tools, exercises (group work) and discussion of integrated case study results.

Lernergebnisse der Lehrveranstaltung
After successful completion of this course, students will be familiar with the major instruments of modern project management and will therefore be able to successfully take on either the role of a project participant or a project leader in professional practice. The students will possess the basic knowledge that will enable them to participate in the certification process as junior project manager (IPMA Level D). The students will be in the position to apply, with the aid of simple examples, the technical competences they have learned in this course and the related PM methods. The learning outcomes of this course contribute mainly to the following (international) programme learning outcomes: LO 5.1
