• Written final exam (70%, open questions, calculations). • Continuous assessment (30%): individual and group work, presentation, quizzes, active contribution in class • Content criteria: Degree of problem identification and problem characterization, complexity of solutions in terms of technical and methodological competence. • Formal criteria: Completeness of answers, linguistic complexity, and independent presentation of results.

Upon successful completion of the course, students can • name and explain the concepts of transportation, warehousing, logistics and supply chain management (1,2) • name different forms of goods and explain their differentiation (1,2) • explain the differences and relationships between logistics and production (1,2) • explain the characteristics of services based on logistic processes (2) • name and explain basic functions of logistics (1,2) • explain logistic processes and their results as customer benefits (2) • explain and apply basic inventory calculations (2,3) • explain and analyze logistics structures using practical examples (2,4) • name and explain associated logistics processes (1,2) • name and explain the role of information as a key control tool for logistics processes and as an increasing value for stakeholders • name and explain the impact of logistics processes on the environment (1,2)
