Technical English 2

Brief description

Basics of electricity: current, voltage and resistance; energy types and their use, machine tools, robotics, engineering, automotive, biocars, electronics, civil engineering, construction, numbers and calculation, area, size and mass, marketing strategies, customer care.
Business communication: presenting a technical issue and important technical inventions of the past and present, describing technical processes.

Learning outcome

After successfully completing Technical English 2, students can speak, discuss and write about electricity, conventional and alternative/renewable energy resources, types of machines, robotics, electrical and electronic engineering and vehicle production. They can name all kinds of measures (areas, volumes etc.), use mathematical terms in English, describe technical processes and discuss new technical achievements.
Students are also able to understand and critically interpret English language specialist literature.
