Learning outcome
After successful completion of the course, students can explain and apply the most important rules of probability theory, the moments and the relevant distributions; calculate estimates of parameters, test hypotheses or convey sample findings to the corresponding target population. In addition, they should be able to quantitatively analyse, using computer analysis, independent univariate and multivariate sets of data of socio-economic and scientific problems as well as to interpret the results.
