Politics and the Constitution

Students learn about the historical, theoretical and legal foundations of the modern constitutional state, the texts of the classics of the history and theory of the constitutional state and gain in-depth knowledge of different constitutions in democratic and non-democratic political orders.

Graduates can analyse problems of political order, argue historically and comparatively, understand concepts of constitutions and recognise the central lines of conflict that are inherent in different constitutional guiding ideas. The learning outcomes of this course contribute mainly to the following (international) programme learning outcomes: LO 2.1.
