After successful completion of the module, students can
- explain the fundamentals of the global political economy
- analyse the implications of international political-economic approaches, especially in their international dimension
- elaborate on the importance and scope of theories for explaining international economic policy developments
- describe, interpret and assess findings from models and theories of international political economy
- explain and compare current international developments and trends in the real economy and the financial sector.
- summarise current economic policy issues and critically assess the impact of different development trends and strategies and derive implications
