The special features of the management of logistics providing companies: the structure, personnel management, personnel structures, classification of transport and logistics company (PL Concept), business models of logistics providing companies, the division of labour, remuneration schemes in logistics enterprises; application of business administration content on specific situations in logistics companies, out and in sourcing of logistics services.

At the completion of the module, the students will have a good overview of the extent and boundaries of logistics and get an insight on individual partial sectors or phases and their embeddedness in the operational value added. The students will have a good understanding of the basic functions of logistics (both space and time) and therefore also the supporting logistical functions such as handling, consignment sale etc. Further, possible business models for providing logistical service will have been learned.
