Learning outcome

On successful completion of this course the students will have a basic understanding of public law, in as far as it is relevant to economics; they should also be able to recognize problems regarding administrative law and to effectively communicate with legal advisers or to undertake simple proceedings without legal counsel respectively. Moreover, the successful participants should understand how the European institutions and the single market work, esp. the four freedoms. Finally, they should possess enough knowledge of public procurement to be able to competently participate in RFPs or design these themselves. The students will also be able to independently evaluate civil-law and public-law issues concerning carriage of goods in a logistics business and to knowledgably discuss these with legal advisers.
