Animation Techniques ("Visual Effects")
The course outlines the fundamentals of animation techniques and offers terminology and an overview of 2D and 3D animation, character animation, visual effects ("VFX"), animation/effects producing. Other key issues of this course are technical directing and workflow in animation and effects projects, computer generated imagery (CGI), models and miniatures, blue/green screen techniques as well as interactive and cross-platform AV production. Technical tools (3D Stereo Optitrec Motion Capture System, etc), studio engineering and software for 2D and 3D animations will also be discussed.

After the successful completion of this course the students will be able to make (computer) technology-based animation techniques applicable in their own projects, to estimate the type and extent of such activities and to calculate costs.
