Learning outcome

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to differentiate between writing academic English and other forms of written English (f.ex.: formal and informal English). They will be able to write abstracts and proposals, strategically plan and execute their written texts, proof-read and criticially reflect upon them. In particular, the students' written Master thesis proposals will prove their understanding of the specific topic, the formulation of research questions, the discussion of state- of-the-art literature and the elaboration on the research design.
