JEAN MONNET ACTIVITIES AT THE FH BFI VIENNA

The Project “Europe in Crisis: Challenges and Scenarios for Cohesion” (EU-CSC)

The FH BFI Vienna coordinates the Jean Monnet Project “Europe in Crisis: Challenges and Scenarios for Cohesion” (EU-CSC), which is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (Jean Monnet Activities) of the European Union. An integral part of the project is a conference on “Europe in Crisis”, which is scheduled to take place in February 2015 at the FH BFI Vienna. In order to make the results of this event available to the wider public, they will be summarized in an open access publication. The project is linked to the study programme “European Economy and Business Management” at the FH BFI Vienna and runs from 2014 to 2015. The Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Activities promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies.

The lecture series by renowned experts in the field of economics and political science was funded by the Jean Monnet Programme of the European Commission from 2010 to 2013. The teaching module stresses the importance of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) for the Austrian economy and politics and focuses on the CEE countries in the context of European integration.
