Educating for Global Competence

International Weeks as an Internationalisation Opportunity for Part-Time Students

Project content

With nearly 70% part-time students the University of Applied Sciences bfi Vienna (FH bfi) has always been searching for alternative internationalization and mobility opportunities. One example for alternative mobility opportunities are the International Weeks at bachelor- and master level which provide students who are not able to go abroad for a longer period of time with the chance to gain international experience.

Within the project “Educating for Global Competence” following project objectives should be achieved:

  • Implementation and quality enhancement of existing International Weeks at bachelor- and master level
  • Development and implementation of an International Week at master level
  • Establishment of a network of partner universities to implement International Weeks at master level
  • Internationalization of courses and enhancement of intercultural learning
  • Evaluation of the concept of an International Week
