Aim
The University of Applied Sciences (UAS) bfi Vienna is a regional positioned and international oriented university. To meet the requirement of its slogan “We form Europe´s top executives!” the UAS bfi Vienna has focussed on the Black Sea Region for its internationalisation activities. Since 2004 a lot of projects and other activities have been carried out and a great network with partner universities in Romania and Turkey has been established.

To enlarge upon the internationalisation strategic orientation a Competence Center Black Sea Region (BSR) has been set up in the summer term 2010.

Services of the Competence Center Black Sea Region
The Competence Center Black Sea Region offers following services for students, graduates, companies and universities:

• Increase of student and teaching staff mobility through enlargement and intensification of the partnerships with universities and concluding Double degree and Joint degree agreements
• Preparation of market analysis and training for employees about the Black Sea Region for companies
• Elective module “Black Sea Region”, Summer Schools and other international projects with Black Sea region focus for students of the UAS bfi Vienna
• Organisation of symposia with ambassadors and experts from the Black Sea Region
• Research projects in the Black Sea Region
• Support of partner universities regarding EU-projects and the implementation of the Bologna-process (e.g. DS-Label, ECTS-Label)
